Back to School Year 2026-2027
On Thursday, September 10, 2026, we will welcome students back to New York City public schools for the first day of the 2026–27 school year. Each school year brings new experiences, opportunities for learning, and moments of growth for our students both in and out of the classroom. As you navigate your child's academic journey this year, this page will help ensure your family has the tools they need for a strong start and continued success. Here, you will find important information and updates about our academic policies, health and safety protocols, support services for students and families, and more.
