Exploring the Future of Teacher Recruitment and Retention - Virtual Conference
On June 7, 2023, the New York City Public Schools' (NYCPS) Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality (TRQ) hosted a special live virtual event. The conference gathered national, systems, district, school and classroom education stakeholders to explore the possibilities of the future of teacher recruitment and retention, including conversations on diversifying the teaching force. It also showcased TRQ initiatives and programs, highlighting successes and approaches to ongoing challenges to teacher recruitment and retention.
